Woman dies in one-vehicle crash on snow-covered highway.

MISSOULA — A woman died in a one-vehicle crash on Montana Highway 200 outside Noxon on Saturday morning.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), the incident occurred shortly after 8:45 a.m. The Lincoln Town was traveling westbound on -covered roads when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway.

The car collided with a guardrail, entered a ditch, rolled over, and struck a tree. A 72-year-old woman from Trout Creek was at the scene. The 73-year-old male driver sustained injuries and was transported to an Idaho hospital.

Authorities reported that the driver was traveling too fast for the prevailing road conditions at the time of the crash. The identity of the deceased has not been released as the investigation continues.
