MADISON (WKOW) — A driver was arrested for operating while impaired after causing a multi-vehicle crash on S. Park Street around 8 a.m. Thursday.
According to the Madison Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of S. Park St. and W. Badger Rd. Witnesses reported that one vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lane when it ran a red light and collided with multiple cars proceeding through a green light on W. Badger Rd.
Officers arrived on the scene and observed signs of impairment in the driver, who was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. She was transported to a local hospital for a blood draw.
Authorities confirmed that none of the other drivers sustained serious injuries. The investigation remains ongoing, with no additional details about potential lane closures or tow operations available at this time.
