LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two drivers sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision Tuesday evening on East Sunset Road.
The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. near South Pine Street, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Authorities said a GMC Terrain, driven by a 39-year-old woman, was westbound in the left lane when it veered left, struck the center median, and then traveled into oncoming traffic.
The Terrain collided with a Honda Accord, operated by a 29-year-old woman. Officials reported that the 39-year-old was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the 29-year-old also required hospitalization due to serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
