EL RENO, Okla. — A vigil will be held Monday evening for four young adults killed in a wrong-way crash on I-40.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. Friday, involving 20-year-old Kiercy Hickson, 19-year-old Quincy Jones, 18-year-old Haleigh Salazar, and Brad Palmer. Officials reported that another driver traveling the wrong way collided with their vehicle.
According to the El Reno Tribune, the candlelight vigil will take place at dusk at Lake El Reno’s main pavilion to honor the victims, including graduates from El Reno High School.
Community support continues with a Benefit Poker Run on July 11, aimed at assisting the victims’ families. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at Tuxedo Lounge, with the run starting at 11 a.m. and featuring five stops.
The fundraising event will also include a dinner, live auction, and silent auction to further support the families of Palmer, Jones, Salazar, and Hickson.
Additionally, GoFundMe pages have been established for the victims and their families.
