OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (KOKH) — One person is dead following a multi-vehicle accident on SW 112th Street and Western Avenue on October 10 at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Authorities said the accident involved three vehicles. Preliminary investigations indicate that one vehicle may have been traveling at a high rate of speed and crossed over the median.
Emergency response teams, including the OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT and MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE, arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. One individual was pronounced dead at the site of the collision, while two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
The roadway was temporarily closed while the scene was investigated and cleared. Towing services were also dispatched to remove the vehicles involved.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing, and authorities urge any witnesses to come forward.
