Serious Crash on Route 1 in Brunswick Injures Three
BRUNSWICK, ME — Three individuals sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Route 1 early Sunday morning, according to Brunswick Police.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene at approximately 3:20 a.m. near Omsby Way. A 2015 Sedan, carrying three occupants, struck a cable barrier and rolled off the left side of the roadway.
Authorities reported that the driver and rear seat passenger were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. All three occupants, whose ages have not been disclosed, were transported with suspected serious injuries.
Route 1 was reduced to one lane for several hours but has since reopened to all traffic. The Brunswick Police and the Brunswick Fire Department are continuing their investigation into the incident.
