Greenville, ME — A Brewer man was killed in a collision with a stopped tractor trailer on Moosehead Lake Road Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred around 10 a.m. near 482 Moosehead Lake Road, according to the Greenville Police Department. Daniel Michaud, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations reveal Michaud was heading northbound in a work van when he struck the rear of a tractor trailer that was halted at a traffic light in a construction zone.
The roadway was closed for several hours during the investigation. Authorities reported that speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
