Woman Dies After Being Ejected from Car in Davenport Crash, PCSO Reports.

DAVENPORT, FLA. — A 28-year-old woman died in a crash early Friday morning, officials reported.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:34 a.m. near the intersection of Home Run Boulevard and Westview Road, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).

Authorities stated that a 2019 was traveling westbound on Home Run Boulevard when the driver, a 26-year-old male, lost control, veering off the roadway and colliding with a power pole.

The vehicle subsequently rolled multiple times down a slope, PCSO officials said. Three individuals were inside the at the time of the incident.

The driver and the rear passenger, aged 28, were from the vehicle, while a 31-year-old front passenger, the only occupant wearing a seat belt, remained inside.

First responders transported the driver to a local hospital with minor injuries, and the front passenger was evaluated and cleared at the scene. However, the rear passenger later succumbed to her injuries at a hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
