A motorcycle accident on Friday afternoon near Jacobson Park has resulted in the death of 41-year-old Andrew Glasscock from Georgetown, according to the Fayette County Coroner's Office.
The coroner confirmed that Glasscock succumbed to “multiple blunt force injuries.”

A collision occurred at the intersection of Athens Boonesboro and Jacobson Park on Friday, leaving two individuals with life-threatening injuries. Lexington Police reported that the incident, which involved a motorcycle and a vehicle, was reported just before 5 p.m. Both drivers sustained critical injuries, while three additional individuals were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Lexington Fire officials indicated that the driver of the SUV involved required extrication with jaws of life.
Inbound traffic on Athens Boonesboro is expected to remain closed into Friday evening as crews continue to investigate the incident.
