DENVER — A single-vehicle crash into the Platte River late Tuesday night resulted in serious injuries to the driver.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. near S. Platte River Drive and W. Evans Avenue. According to the Denver Police Department, the SUV was extricated from the water with the assistance of the Denver Fire Department.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Authorities have not confirmed the cause of the crash or the circumstances that led to the vehicle entering the river.
