Owensville man hospitalized in serious condition following Highway 50 two-vehicle crash.

A two-vehicle crash in Gasconade County on Monday resulted in one injury.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Highway 50, east of 5th Street.

A 2023 K5, traveling west, struck the rear of a 2000 Silverado truck before veering off the roadway and colliding with a utility pole.

The 54-year-old driver of the from Owensville suffered critical injuries and was transported to Washington Hospital.

Authorities confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
