SEMINOLE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A crash involving a teenage driver resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man in Seminole County on May 13.
Emergency crews responded shortly before noon to a collision on Hwy 99. Traffic was reportedly stopped in a construction zone when a southbound vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old, could not brake in time and collided with the rear of another vehicle.
This impact set off a chain reaction, pushing the struck vehicle into the one ahead. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Wilbur White, the driver of the car that was initially hit, succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further details, including the status of road closures and towing, were not immediately available.
