One hospitalized following semi-truck crash in Boone County.

One person was injured in a crash on Thursday in Boone County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a 2007 Kenworth W9 was traveling north on Route UU at Gillespie Bridge Road.

Around 5:51 p.m., the failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the right side of the roadway.

The vehicle overturned, striking a road sign and an electric pole.

The driver, a 47-year-old male from Mountain View, Mo., sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital by EMS.

MSHP confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
