CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A tractor-trailer crash is hindering traffic on northbound Route 29 after cargo was spilled on the roadway.

The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. off Wards Road near English Tavern Road, according to authorities. State Police are investigating the crash, which involved two trucks. Reports suggest one truck swerved to avoid the other, resulting in a collision and the subsequent cargo spill.

At the scene, witnesses noted bottles scattered across the highway, identified as a load of White Claw beverages.

Trooper Austin Tosh commented on the complexity of the situation due to the types of vehicles involved and their cargo, which can include various products. “It's a little bit more involved since the tractor-trailers travel all over the country, carrying different types of products,” he explained.

Virginia State Police confirmed no injuries were reported and advised motorists to seek alternative routes. The investigation remains ongoing.
