LAKEVILLE, MASS. (WJAR) — A vehicle collided with a utility pole on Woodland Ridge Drive, causing a power outage on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 2:15 p.m., snapping the pole and requiring emergency response. The Lakeville Fire Department confirmed that both occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital with injuries.
Authorities did not specify the extent of the injuries but confirmed that power was disrupted in the area. Utility crews were dispatched to assess the damage and restore service.
As a result of the accident, Woodland Ridge Drive remained partially closed while the scene was cleared. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
