A crash on Interstate 35 near Lone Elm Road resulted in one fatality on Tuesday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. A single vehicle caught fire following the collision. The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency response units, including the Olathe Fire Department, attended to the scene. No additional injuries were reported. Lane closures were enacted while authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the area.
