COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) —
A driver was critically injured Monday at 6:49 a.m. after a car left the roadway at North Hague Avenue and El Paso Drive in Columbus.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, a black 2026 Honda Civic lost control while passing a white Ford F-150.
Authorities said the Honda slid off the west side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, officers from the Franklin Township Police Department, and medics with the Columbus Division of Fire responded.
The driver of the Honda was transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The intersection was closed for a few hours Monday morning.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating. No further information was released.
