PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — A man died following a crash on I-95 in North Attleborough late Tuesday night.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, the Massachusetts State Police responded to the incident at approximately 11:58 p.m. on I-95 south. They arrived to find a Volkswagen Jetta wedged between a guardrail and a Freightliner M2 crash truck.
The driver of the crash truck, identified as 48-year-old Julio Flores of Pawtucket, was discovered a short distance from the scene suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries on Monday night.
Authorities reported that the Volkswagen Jetta had four occupants at the time of the crash.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
