TULSA, Okla. (KOKH) — Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on May 9 in Tulsa.
Around 4:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle near 47th and Sheridan. The driver of the SUV, a 91-year-old man, was traveling northbound on Sheridan before turning west onto 46th Street.
At the same time, 46-year-old Justin Dye was riding his 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Sheridan. Investigators believe the SUV failed to yield, resulting in the accident.
The impact propelled Dye from his motorcycle, and he was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities continue to gather evidence as part of their investigation into the incident.
