Plymouth Crash Claims Life of Wrong-Way Driver on Route 3
A wrong-way driver was killed in a crash on Route 3 South in Plymouth, Massachusetts, shortly before midnight on Friday.
According to State Police, reports of the wrong-way vehicle came in just before the crash. A trooper on patrol confirmed the incident soon after. All southbound lanes were closed for emergency response, reopening around 3:30 a.m.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Adam Plaice of Brewster, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A second vehicle, driven by a woman in her late 20s, was also involved in the crash. She was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities working to gather more details.
