PAYETTE, Idaho (CBS2) — A three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 95 north of Payette City on Saturday afternoon resulted in multiple injuries, including two individuals to a hospital.

According to Idaho State Police, the incident occurred at 3:27 p.m. on May 9, 2026, at mile marker 72. A 2016 Renegade, driven by a 44-year-old man from Caldwell, was northbound when it veered into the southbound lanes.

A 2000 Accord, operated by an 18-year-old man from Weiser and carrying a juvenile passenger, was traveling southbound at the time. To avoid a collision with the , the Accord swerved into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a 2020 Ridgeline driven by a 49-year-old man from Boise, which also had two juvenile passengers.

Authorities reported that the driver of the Jeep was not injured. The occupants of the Honda Accord were transported by air ambulance, while the Ridgeline passengers were taken to a local hospital via ground ambulance.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the northbound lanes were closed for approximately 90 minutes for cleanup operations. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
