Man Found Shot in Crashed Vehicle in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. — A man was discovered dead from a gunshot wound inside a crashed vehicle early Wednesday morning, according to Richmond police.
Officers responded to the 2300 block of Chamberlayne Avenue at approximately 1:38 a.m. after reports of a crash. They found 45-year-old Antonio Nixon unresponsive in the vehicle.
Nixon was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities stated that the RPD Crash Team located a bullet hole during their investigation. The Major Crimes Division determined that Nixon had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. The medical examiner will establish the official cause and manner of death.
