SPRINGVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A juvenile driver was airlifted to a hospital after a serious crash on West Popcorn Road on Thursday night.
The incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of West Popcorn Road, located in the southwest part of Monroe County near the Lawrence County line. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the driver, operating a 2004 Hyundai, was ejected from the vehicle after it left the roadway and rolled multiple times.
The juvenile was flown to a hospital in Indianapolis for treatment. Authorities reported that no other injuries occurred in the incident.
Traffic was impacted as crews closed the roads for over two hours to conduct an investigation. The status of the investigation was not immediately available.
