Glynn County Sheriff's deputies concluded a car chase on Wednesday afternoon using a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver on a vehicle that failed to stop for police.
The incident unfolded at approximately 2:41 p.m. on U.S. Highway 17 near the intersection with Golden Isles Parkway. Deputies initiated the pursuit after the driver refused to pull over for a traffic violation. The chase ended when deputies executed the PIT maneuver, bringing the suspect's vehicle to a stop.
No injuries were reported among law enforcement or the suspect. Emergency medical services were on standby but were not needed. The vehicle involved was towed from the scene.
