Motorcycle crash leaves Madison man seriously injured in Potosi

VILLAGE OF POTOSI, Wis. (WKOW) — A Madison man was flown to the hospital following a motorcycle crash in Grant County on Saturday.

The incident occurred at 2:06 p.m. on STH 133, north of Dogtail Road. According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Jett James Johnson, 21, lost control of his 2023 Kawasaki EX400 while navigating a curve and struck a guardrail. Despite wearing protective gear, Johnson sustained serious injuries.

Emergency responders from Potosi Fire and EMS arrived promptly and requested UW-Med Flight for air support. A landing zone was established, and Johnson was transported to UW Hospital in Madison for treatment.

The scene was managed by Potosi Fire Department, EMS, and UW-Med Flight personnel. The crash remains under investigation.
