Authorities Respond to Burning Electric Vehicle at F.E. Everett Turnpike Toll Plaza

NASHUA, NH — At approximately 2:41 p.m. on March 31, emergency responders were dispatched to a burning electric vehicle at the F.E. Everett Turnpike toll plaza.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the vehicle caught fire while passing through the toll area, prompting immediate action from local fire departments. No injuries were reported, and the driver safely exited the vehicle.

Witnesses reported seeing flames and smoke emanating from the electric vehicle, which was quickly isolated to prevent further hazards. Firefighting crews extinguished the fire without incident.

Authorities confirmed that the southbound lane was temporarily closed while crews addressed the situation. Tows were initiated to remove the vehicle from the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to officials. The incident did not significantly disrupt traffic flow in the area.
