Serious Crash Reported on Massachusetts Turnpike
NEWTON-WESTON, MA — Emergency crews responded to a serious crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) westbound near Route 128 early Wednesday morning at approximately 6:01 a.m.
According to State Police, a tractor-trailer veered off the highway and rolled down an embankment into the median by the train tracks. The right lane of the westbound side is closed as responders address the situation.
Authorities reported that eastbound traffic is being affected by the incident. A heavy-duty tow truck has been requested to assist with the recovery.
There were no immediate reports of injuries. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
