MERRIMACK, NH — On Sunday, Merrimack firefighters Keith Hines and Zachary McComb received merit awards for their rapid response to a highway crash in Nashua last summer.

Authorities reported the crash occurred on July 15, 2022, on the F.E. Everett Turnpike North at approximately 4:45 p.m. The collision involved three vehicles and resulted in two confirmed injuries. Emergency response teams, including Nashua Fire Rescue and New Hampshire State Police, were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters Hines and McComb arrived within minutes, administering first aid to the injured and assisting in traffic control. Their actions contributed to a smoother response by medical personnel and are credited with limiting further complications from the incident.
