A man was fatally struck by multiple vehicles on Interstate 295 north in Cumberland, Rhode Island, Tuesday night.
According to Rhode Island State Police, troopers responded to the scene shortly after the incident was reported. They discovered a man with life-threatening injuries lying on the highway, who was subsequently hit by a tow truck and two other vehicles.
The tow truck remained at the scene, and no charges or citations have been issued against any of the drivers involved. Emergency response teams were on-site to manage the situation.
