Police discover nearly 500 pounds of liquid meth in minivan involved in crash that killed two.

FORT WORTH, Texas (WKRC) — Two men died in a minivan crash on Thursday morning in Fort Worth, where police discovered nearly 500 pounds of liquid meth.

Emergency responders were called to the scene at approximately 10:30 a.m. Authorities said the minivan struck an unoccupied parked truck before coming to a stop nearby.

Officials found a 32-year-old man dead in the passenger seat. The 28-year-old driver was critically injured and at the scene.

During the investigation, police discovered 10 plastic buckets containing a substance emitting strong fumes. The DEA was called to evaluate the chemical, which tested positive as likely liquid meth, weighing approximately 480 pounds with a street value estimated between $1 million and $3 million.

A firefighter was transported to the hospital due to exposure but has since been released and is in stable condition, according to authorities.

Fort Worth Police Department spokesperson Buddy Calzada emphasized the potential severity of the situation, stating, “This crash could have had a much worse outcome given the hazardous materials involved.”

The identities of the deceased have not yet been released, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
