Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Topeka Woman
TOPEKA, KS – April 16, 2026, 5:54 p.m. CT – A motorcycle crash in Topeka left 37-year-old Ashley Porter dead and another individual hospitalized.
The incident occurred at 4:18 a.m. on April 12 at the intersection of SE 37th Street and California Avenue. Authorities reported that both Porter and the motorcycle operator sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The identity of the motorcycle driver has not been released and remains hospitalized.
The Topeka Police Department closed the intersection for an extended period to conduct an investigation. Lt. R. Ekis confirmed that the investigation is active and ongoing.
