Marlboro County, S.C. – One person was killed in a car crash that occurred on Sunday evening near Bennettsville in Marlboro County.
According to the authorities, the fatal crash happened around 4:48 p.m. on Highway 9 at Hickory Grove Road.
A 2010 Nissan sedan was traveling west on Hickory Grove Road and was attempting to turn left onto Highway when it was hit by a 1998 Ford pickup truck traveling north on Highway 9.
The Nissan driver died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford was unhurt.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
