Emporia, KS. – One person was injured in a Saturday afternoon car crash near Emporia.
According to the Emporia Fire Department, the accident happened around 1:18 p.m. on the Kansas Turnpike at mile marker 145.
At least eight vehicles were involved in the collision. However, the events leading up to the accident were not released.
One occupant of the semi-truck required extrication before being transported to Stormont Vail ER for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
