Wilkinson, W.Va. (WVDN) – On April 14, 2026, a motor vehicle crash at the Route 44 Service Center injured one individual and caused significant property damage.
Trooper C.D. Woodall responded to the incident, where a vehicle struck a gas pump and ignited a fire.
Kyle Jeffery, 32, of Cambridge, Ohio, was rescued from the vehicle and transported to Logan Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The fire also affected three additional vehicles parked at the service station.
Authorities noted that the estimated damage is considerable.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
