Smithfield R.I. – Three people were hospitalized after being injured in a head-on collision near Smithfield on Monday night.
According to the police, the accident happened on Monday night on Putnam Pike.
A truck driver crossed the centerline and collided head-on with another car.
The truck driver was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car and a juvenile passenger were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
