Hillsboro, KS. – A woman was killed in a car crash that left two people seriously injured on Saturday night near Hillsboro in Marion County.
The accident was reported around 9:50 p.m. on U.S. Highway 56 at the Kansas Highway 15 junction.
A 38-year-old woman was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry northbound on the highway when she failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the trailer of a semi-truck.
The woman died at the accident scene.
Two 14-year-old boys riding in the car were injured in the accident and were transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with serious injuries.
The 34-year-old Texas man driving the semi was not injured.
