Motorcycle Crash Claims Life in Westport, MA, Late Saturday Night
WESTPORT, MA — A motorcycle crash on Main Street late Saturday night resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man, authorities reported.
John Soares IV, a resident of Fall River, was found approximately 50 feet from his Harley Davidson motorcycle near Benjamin Tripp Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the crash, which was reported at 11:38 p.m.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, investigators noted that a telephone pole and a wall were impacted during the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement has not disclosed any suspected causes of the crash.
State and local police are currently handling the investigation. No further details on injuries or additional vehicles involved have been released.
