HATTIESBURG, Miss. — A hit-and-run involving a school bus occurred around 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 3600 block of Campbell Drive.
According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, a Hattiesburg Public School District bus was stationary to pick up students when it was struck by a silver midsized four-door sedan. Witnesses reported that students were crossing the street at the time of the incident.
Following the collision, the driver of the sedan backed away from the bus and fled the scene. The vehicle sustained damage to its left front side. No injuries were reported.
