Billings Woman Dies in Early Monday Morning Crash.

LAUREL – An 18-year-old woman from Billings was killed and a man injured in a accident early Monday morning.

The crash occurred at 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of 84th Street West and Cut Throat Drive, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. A -Benz E320, traveling north on 84th Street West, failed to navigate a left-hand curve.

Authorities said the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to enter a ditch. The struck a fence and rolled multiple times. The 18-year-old driver was and at the scene; she was not wearing a seatbelt. Her name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

A 20-year-old male passenger from Billings sustained injuries and was transported to a Billings hospital. It is unclear if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Montana Highway Patrol has indicated that alcohol is a suspected factor in the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
