LONDONDERRY, N.H. — One person was seriously injured in a car versus pedestrian crash on I-93 Saturday morning.
The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. when 40-year-old Felix Matos Medina of Lawrence, Massachusetts, exited his vehicle, which he had stopped in the breakdown lane due to a potential mechanical issue. He was struck by a Chevrolet Malibu driven by 43-year-old David Jodoin of Londonderry.
Medina was airlifted to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, for treatment of serious injuries. Jodoin remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time; however, the investigation is ongoing. Authorities reported that I-93 South was closed near Exit 5 for approximately 30 minutes, with one lane remaining closed for several hours for the investigation.
