Northbound lanes of Interstate 79 reopen following tractor-trailer crash.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 79 have reopened following a tractor-trailer crash that occurred just before 7 p.m.

According to an emergency alert from Metro 911, the crash happened at mile marker 5.6 in the Coopers Creek area. The truck involved was transporting coffee creamer.

All northbound lanes were closed, and traffic was diverted off at the Big Chimney exit for cleanup efforts. The lanes were shut down just after 7:30 p.m. and were expected to reopen around 8:30 p.m.

Authorities reported no injuries from the incident. Emergency response teams were on the scene to manage the situation and clear the roadway.
