CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Cameron donated $200 to honor the memory of two teens who died in a crash in April 2023.

Nick Booth and Will Hammitt, seniors at James River High School, were involved in the fatal incident on Old Gun Road West. The donation supports a scholarship established in their memory.

Cameron presented the funds to Rebekah Hammitt, Will's mother, at a memorial bench set up by both families. “We wanted a place where people could come and visit that wasn't necessarily a cemetery,” Rebekah Hammitt stated. “The bench faces the sunset, encouraging drivers to remember that someone loves them.”

“Your efforts to turn heartbreak into a message to prevent similar tragedies is inspiring,” Cameron said before the presentation. “I hope this donation helps spread that message further.”

The scholarship aims to promote safe driving, honoring the boys' legacy in the community.
