WARREN COUNTY, Miss. — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on Christmas Day that resulted in one hospitalization.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on December 25, 2023, troopers were dispatched to a collision involving an SUV and an 18-wheeler on Interstate 20 near the 12-mile marker in Warren County. According to authorities, the SUV was traveling westbound when it veered off the road, overturned, and collided with the eastbound 18-wheeler.
The driver of the SUV was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The truck driver sustained no injuries. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Lane closures were initially implemented but have since been lifted.
