Two Killed in I-95 Crash in McIntosh County on Thursday
MCLNTOSH COUNTY, GA — Two individuals lost their lives in a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash involved a 2006 Chevrolet Impala. The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 58.
Authorities confirmed that both victims were occupants of the Impala. Emergency medical services responded to the scene, but both were pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
Traffic was significantly impacted, resulting in the closure of two southbound lanes while first responders handled the situation. Towing services were summoned to remove the vehicle from the highway.
