A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Martha Truman Road and Blue Ridge Road.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. Authorities reported that the vehicle lost control and struck a tree. The driver, identified as a 32-year-old male, sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
Emergency services, including local police and medical responders, arrived quickly but were unable to revive the victim. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Authorities confirmed that the roadway was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and there were no reported injuries to bystanders.
Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle leave the roadway at a high speed prior to the crash. Lane closures were lifted around 5:00 p.m. as the investigation concluded.
