LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A 55-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night at North Rancho Drive and West Washington Avenue.
The incident occurred around 10:38 p.m., according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators determined that a white 2017 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on Rancho Drive and struck the pedestrian as he crossed the street.
The vehicle fled the scene but was later located by authorities. Despite immediate medical assistance from Emergency Medical Services, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
This fatality marks the 35th traffic-related death in Las Vegas in 2026. The Collision Investigation Section of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is conducting the investigation.
