HARVEY, N.D. — A Tioga woman, 45, was killed in a head-on collision with a semi-truck late Wednesday, Oct. 15.
At approximately 10:26 p.m., the woman was traveling northwest in a Nissan Rogue on U.S. Highway 52, about 9 miles southeast of Harvey, when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a southeast-bound Kenworth truck driven by a 73-year-old Minot man, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver sustained injuries and was transported to St. Aloisius-Harvey for treatment. Authorities confirmed that the truck driver was wearing a seat belt, but it is unclear if the woman was restrained at the time of the crash.
Conditions were noted as wet and misty during the incident. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
