Joey Logano was involved in a multi-car crash during Stage 3 of the Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway on March 8, 2026.
The incident occurred with 59 laps remaining, beginning when Logano made contact with A.J. Allmendinger while moving up the track. The crash also involved Chase Elliott and Josh Berry.
According to authorities, Logano's Team Penske Ford was severely damaged in the collision, which ended with Berry crashing into Logano's vehicle. Logano described the event, stating, “I just ran out of space going into (Turn) 1.”
This crash followed an earlier incident where Logano had been involved in a separate collision that took Ross Chastain and Austin Cindric out of contention during the race.
Emergency responders were on the scene, while the investigation into the crash's circumstances is ongoing. Lane closures were implemented to facilitate the response.
