Chase Elliott Expresses Excitement as NASCAR Playoffs Approach
In anticipation of the NASCAR playoffs, driver Chase Elliott noted the lengthy regular season makes the postseason eagerly awaited.
A significant crash during the NASCAR Kansas race late in the event on September 28 involved six cars, including playoff contenders Joey Logano and Austin Cindric. Witnesses reported that the incident occurred with 52 laps remaining.
Race leader Denny Hamlin, who was experiencing steering issues, hesitated on a restart, contributing to the multi-car wreck. At the time, Logano was running in 10th place, while Cindric was in 18th.
Additional drivers involved in the crash included Austin Dillon, Noah Gragson, Carson Hocevar, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and A.J. Allmendinger. The incident ended the race for Stenhouse and Allmendinger.
Hamlin was not directly involved in the crash but remained on track despite his handling issues.
According to sources, this latest incident highlights the high-stakes nature of the forthcoming playoffs, further heightening the competitive atmosphere as the season progresses.
