MADISON (WKOW) — A not guilty plea was entered Tuesday for Jordan Killerlain, 30, charged with fatally striking a pedestrian in Madison on January 12.

Killerlain is charged with Knowingly Operating a Motor Vehicle While Revoked Causing Death and violating a court order regarding an Ignition Interlock Device. His attorney submitted the plea during a Dane County court hearing, where the cash bond was reduced from $35,000 to $15,000.

Authorities reported Killerlain hit a woman crossing Packers Avenue. The criminal complaint revealed Killerlain acknowledged driving without a license due to prior OWI convictions and confirmed the lack of the required ignition interlock device in his vehicle.

According to police, Killerlain remarked that the pedestrian “came out of nowhere,” while a witness stated that the woman ran into the road. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
